Netball fans make sure you head to Hisense Arena on Sunday for our triple header with VNL and ANL fixtures set to feature either side of the ANZ Championship Round Five blockbuster between the Melbourne Vixens and the WBOP Magic.
Gates at Hisense Arena will open at 10am with the Victorian Netball League clash between arch-rivals, the Melbourne University Lightning and the Monash University Storm to kick things off from 10:20am.
Monash Coach Adam Boldiston said the girls are excited by the prospect of playing on Hisense Arena.
“It is very exciting for all of the girls,” Boldiston said.
“Hopefully, we will have a good crowd to get their early to watch our skills on display.”
The Storm will have to be at their best if they want to challenge the Lightning, who are undefeated after three games.
Their cause will be aided by the absence of four lightning players who will line up for the Victorian Fury later in the day.
“We are looking to continue our strong start to the season and hopefully, get another win to move to three and one, which would be a great start considering many people wrote us off heading into the season as we had a high turnover and are playing with a young list this year.”
Despite facing a weakened Lightning side on Sunday, Boldiston said the team will need to get their structures right if they are to challenge for a victory.
“The Lightning are very good at moving the ball quickly to their attack so it is important that we have the right structures in place.”

The Australian Netball League match between the Victorian Fury and Canberra Darters will conclude Sunday’s triple header of netball from 2:30pm.
