Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens are sad to share that Rosie King OAM will depart the organisation after six years of outstanding leadership as CEO.
In her time at Netball Victoria, Rosie has played a key role in major projects including the redevelopment of the State Netball Centre in Parkville and driven a successful campaign for greater recognition of female sporting icons which resulted in funding for two new statues honouring netball legends.
Leading the organisation through a period of significant challenges in recent years, Rosie has remained focused on the best interests of the Victorian netball community – from grassroots through to the elite level – and leaves Netball Victoria in a position of strength.
Rosie will finish up in early September and return to the Geelong Cats in an exciting new role advising the club’s Executive team on a range of operational opportunities.
“As Netball Victoria embarks on a new strategic planning cycle, and with the conclusion of some major projects I’m proud to have overseen in my time in netball, I feel it’s the right time to hand over the baton,” she said.
“The Executive and wider team at Netball Victoria have been a wonderful group of people to work alongside, and I have full confidence and a strong sense of pride in that team as the organisation moves forward into an exciting future.”
