ROUND 5
17/Under – VIC (52) defeated ACT (24)
Victoria continued their hot form with another dominant performance in Darwin, claiming a convincing win over the ACT. Captain Eliza Mollino starred in defence, while goalers Tully Bethune, Mia Lavis and Teah Wilson were strong under the post to guide the team to a 28-goal victory. The 17/U side currently sit third on the ladder heading into the final two rounds.
19/Under – VIC (49) defeated TAS (27)
The Victorians rejoined the winners list in the 19/U division after defeating Tasmania by 22 goals. In a must win for the Vics, Charlotte Sexton showcased defensive prowess as goalkeeper, recording a number of intercepts and rebounds. Christine Oguche once again impressed in attack, playing the entire match and spearheading the Vics offence.
UP NEXT
Today the Vics face off against South Australia and Tasmania in the 17/U division, while the 19/U side take on Tasmania and the ACT.
