ROUND HIGHLIGHTS
Netball fans are in for a treat, with all 12 clubs descending on the State Netball Centre for Round 4 for the first time this season.
Championship
- The Gippsland Stars will be aiming for back-to-back wins as they face 11th-placed Melbourne University Lightning. Ramayer Gourley and Shannon Blackman will take on their old team for the first time. Meanwhile, Lightning continue their battle for a breakthrough first win of the 2025 season, adding extra intensity to the contest.
- The Bendigo Strikers have made an impressive start to 2025 and will be looking to cause an upset when they take on ladder leaders City West Falcons. A key matchup to watch will be Zoe Davies, a Falcons premiership player, who will need to be at her best to contain the dominant Jane Cook.
23&Under
- Fifth-placed Geelong Cougars will go head-to-head with sixth-placed Casey Demons in what promises to be a tightly contested clash. The Cougars are coming off a dominant win, while the Demons edged out the Falcons by a single goal, giving both teams plenty of momentum. A key matchup to watch will be the battle between Holly Stephens and Charli Hoey, as they look to make a big impact on the game.
- Expect a shootout when the Southern Saints take on North East Blaze in their Round 4 clash. Saints sharpshooter Rose Laidlaw has rediscovered her form, scoring 63 goals (at 90% accuracy) and proving she’s fearless from anywhere in the circle. Meanwhile, at the other end, Blaze’s Olivia Cawthray has been in red-hot form, sitting at 94% accuracy with 148 goals to her name. With both goalers firing, this matchup promises to be a high-scoring spectacle.
