Round Eight of the Victorian Netball League will be held at the State Netball and Hockey Centre on Wednesday 25 May.
The action will commence at 7pm.
The 19/Under Geelong Cougar’s team is the only undefeated side remaining following the completion of seven rounds after the City West Falcons upstaged the Melbourne University Lightning last week.
The Cougars success can be attributed to an even performance in attack, with goalers Gabi Rieniets (141), Hannah Van Gemst (122) and Mary Waldron (84) all featuring inside the top 15 for goals scored this season.
Reigning 19/under club Best and Fairest winner Riley Stephens has also been instrumental. She currently sits fifth in the race for the MVP award.
The Cougars will look to continue their winning start to 2016 against the Peninsula Waves in Round Eight.
In Division One, the City West Falcons are flying high on top of the ladder. They have been led superbly this season by Emily Post. She currently leads the MVP medal race with 20 votes after seven matches.
This week they face the Wilson Storage Southern Saints who currently just sit outside the top four in all three divisions.
The Falcons also share top spot on the Championship ladder with the Melbourne University Lightning on 24 points.
The Lightning will challenge the ACU Sovereigns who enter the round full of confidence after winning the first match of the season against the Yarra Valley Grammar Ariels last week.
In the other remaining Round Eight fixtures, the Ariels will take on the DC North East Blaze, and the Monash University Storm will challenge the Boroondara Express.
