Updating Your Accreditation
Updating your accreditation just got easier!
Coaches can now update their accreditation online through Netball Learning.
By moving to an online updating system, Netball Australia is reducing the administration for you, our learner. We’ll be able to easily see whose accreditation is up-to-date and be able to point you in the right direction for ongoing education and development opportunities.

The recertification pathway aims to raise the overall quality of coaches within netball by ensuring they are provided with ongoing education and development opportunities covering areas such as:
- Keeping abreast of the latest information on developments within netball
- Having access to the most up-to-date techniques and skills related to coaching
- Rules knowledge and current interpretations
All National Coach accreditations are valid for four (4) years from when the accreditation is issued.
All accreditations must be updated prior to the four (4) year period expiring.
1. Practical Coaching (1 point = 1 hour).
Foundation - 20 points
Development - 40 points
Intermediate - 60 points
Advanced - 80 points
Elite - 100 points
High Performance - 120 points
2. Rules of Netball Exam - pass mark 70% or higher (5 points)
3. Netball Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People course.
- Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited) - 5 points per course
- Attend an Netball Victoria approved coaching workshop (5 points)
- Attend an Netball Victoria Game Development Conference (10 points)
- Complete the Netball Australia Foundation Coach Course (5 points)
- Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited) (5 points)
You can update your accreditation within 6 months of your current accreditation expiry date.
Netball Learning will remind you via email when your accreditation is nearing its expiry.
1. Log into Netball Learning and select 'Record of Learning'
2. Select 'Certifications tab' and select your accreditation.
3. Scroll down to the 'Recertification Path Section'. This is where you can update your accreditation.

Yes, you will receive three email reminders from Netball Learning that your accreditation is due to expiry soon. Reminders will be sent 1 year, 6 months and 1 months before the expiry date of your accreditation.
If your accreditation has expired, you will need to email Netball Australia to apply for a recognition of prior learning.
