Updating Your Accreditation
Updating your accreditation just got easier!
Coaches can now update their accreditation online through Netball Learning.
By moving to an online updating system, Netball Australia is reducing the administration for you, our learner. We’ll be able to easily see whose accreditation is up-to-date and be able to point you in the right direction for ongoing education and development opportunities.
The recertification pathway aims to raise the overall quality of coaches within netball by ensuring they are provided with ongoing education and development opportunities covering areas such as:
- Keeping abreast of the latest information on developments within netball
- Having access to the most up-to-date techniques and skills related to coaching
- Rules knowledge and current interpretations
1. Log into Netball Learning and select 'Record of Learning'
2. Select 'Certifications tab' and select your accreditation.
3. Scroll down to the 'Recertification Path Section'. This is where you can update your accreditation.

Each accreditation requires a different number of points to update their accreditation:
- Foundation: 20 points
- Development: 40 points
- Intermediate: 60 points
- Advanced: 80 points
- Elite: 100 points
- High Performance: 120 points
To update your accreditation you must complete the following:
- Practical Coaching Hours - (Foundation: 10 points, Development: 20 points, Intermediate (40 points), Advanced (50 points), Elite (70 points), High Performance (90 points)
- Rules of Netball Exam - 5 points
- Attend Netball Victoria approved coaching workshop - 5 points
- Attend Netball Victoria approved coaching conference - 10 points
- Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited) - 5 points per course

How does it work?
Our accreditation updates work on a points system. So, when you’re updating your accreditation you need to make sure you’ve reached the relevant number of points within four years of gaining your current accreditation.
How long is a accreditation valid?
Accreditation are valid for four years.
Do I receive reminders that when accreditation is going to expiry soon?
Yes, you will receive three email reminders from Netball Learning that your accreditation is due to expiry soon. Reminders will be sent 1 year, 6 months and 1 months before the expiry date of your accreditation.
When is the best time to update my accreditation?
You will need to complete the updating requirements before your accreditation expires.
How often do I need to update my accreditation?
Once, every four years.
