Netball Connect
We have completed our first stage of training in Netball Connect with most Associations, Leagues and Clubs now with access to the system. A few remaining Leagues and their clubs will undertake training early in the new year ready for their 2022 seasons. We would like to thank everyone for your support during the roll out of Netball Connect and look forward to supporting you through further training once competitions get underway next year. We are currently working on a schedule which will include training sessions on Match Day and Live Scoring and will share these dates in future news. In the meantime please use the resources available on our website.
MyNetball Websites
The closure of MyNetball means that all association and club websites that are hosted through MyNetball will no longer exist after 31 December. As part of this change, the website address will also be discontinued. Netball Victoria will set a redirection in place to ensure all visitors to your MyNetball website will be redirected to your new website. To ensure we can set this in place please email your new website address to memberservices@netballvic.com.au.
Child Safety - Tip of the month
Associations/Leagues and Clubs have a responsibility to keeping our children safe by implementing the Child Safe Standards. In the Our Safety Counts report it was stated “Adults paying attention when a child or young person raised a concern or worry was the most influential characteristic in determining how safe children felt within an organisation”. With the return of netball it is important to communicate to your communities that you are open to listening to concerns and that you welcome and encourage children to speak up is crucial to building a child-safe culture. We have created some fabulous posters you can print and display around your venues that will help share this message and your commitment to listening to children. Click here to download.

Pride in Sport
INVITATION TO HAVE YOUR SAY IN REGARD TO OUR LGBTQ1 INCLUSION WORK
This year we are participating in the Pride in Sport Index (PSI) National Survey. This is a survey that allows us to assess and benchmark our progress in the area of inclusion of people with diverse sexualities and genders, in sport across Australia. This is only one area of our diversity & inclusion work. While the survey focuses on LGBTQ inclusion, it does not by any means diminish our focus or activity in other areas of diversity practice. We work with similar organisations in other areas of our diversity focus. Participation in the PSI National Survey allows us to track our progress, benchmark ourselves against other sporting organisations, and provide a means by which you can have your say. Regardless of how you personally identify, we encourage you to participate in this Survey. While the survey will identify the name of our organisation, individuals within the survey cannot be identified by either Pride in Sport, the not-for-profit employer support program running the benchmark, or by ourselves (i.e. participation in this is completely anonymous). Your feedback will enable us to not only gauge the visibility of our inclusion initiatives in this area of diversity and inclusion, but will also enable us to understand the views of those who do not identity as LGBTQ, as well as the experiences of those who are of diverse sexuality and/or gender. The first few pages of the Survey provides: · The purpose of the survey; and · An outline of terminology used. Please ensure you use the navigation buttons within the survey instrument, not the browser buttons. Please ensure you click the ‘submit’ button upon completing the PSI Survey. Should you have any questions, please contact: Help us be the leading sporting organisation in Australia for LGBTQ inclusion, and complete this survey! To participate in the survey, please click here. The survey will close at 9:00am AEDT Tuesday 8 February 2022.
