The Jean Cowan Fund is available for applications to ensure financial hardship is not a barrier to participation in our sport. Funding can assist individual applicants with covering the costs associated with participating in netball, including membership fees, and purchasing uniforms and equipment. More information here.

Child Safety, Trans and Gender Diverse Awareness Training

This training relates to Child Safe Standard 5 – Equity is upheld, and diverse needs are respected in policy and practice. Organisations are required to understand children and young people's diverse circumstances and provide support and respond to those who are vulnerable. This session will develop your knowledge and skills to improve safety and inclusion for transgender and gender-diverse people in our netball communities.
Netball Connect Drop-In
Netball Victoria’s Affiliate Development and Support team is scheduling a series of informal online sessions to give you the opportunity to drop-in to ask any Netball Connect questions. We have scheduled them over lunch to give people who are working the opportunity to join during their break, ask their questions and return to work.

Netball Victoria Complaints Management Framework Course
Netball Victoria has a range of policies and regulations that ensures netball is delivered in an enjoyable, safe and inclusive environment. This course is an introduction and overview of the key reference documents that make up the NV Complaints Management Framework. The aim of the course is to give administrators the tools to ensure the complaint resolution procedures are understood, accessible and working well within your organisations.

VicSport 11 Child Safety Standards Learning Modules
VicSport has developed an Online Education Program to assist the Victorian sporting community to implement and understand the 11 Victorian Child Safe Standards. The free and interactive program is designed to guide sport administrators, volunteers, coaches and/or officials through the Standards.

2024 Netball Vic Memberships
Netball Victoria’s 2024 member registration period will begin in October ahead of many of our affiliates running summer seasons. Affiliates and participants may notice that our membership fees will increase by $2.00 for 2024.
A Netball Victoria membership enables members to participate (including as a player, coach or umpire) in any Netball Victoria-affiliated association or competition, or development course.
Netball Victoria membership enables us to provide support for affiliates across vital areas including:
- Management and administration, including tools like Netball Connect and related support
- Governance and policy
- Coach and umpire development and pathways
- Player development and pathways
- Competitions
- Community development, including diversity and inclusion and school programs
- Facility development support and advocacy
- Staff located across regional and metropolitan areas to provide support, information and resources
- Coverage under Netball Australia’s National Insurance Program
We’re proud that our membership fees remain lower than many other member organisations and are comparable to other sports. However, Netball Victoria recognises that many members of our community are experiencing financial hardship in the current climate and is committed to ensuring our sport remains as accessible and inclusive as possible.
