2020 registration open date & prices
Registrations for 2020 will open on Monday 7 October.
Netball Australia is currently implementing exciting changes to the NetSetGO program that will ultimately improve the user experience in 2020. As a result of these changes NetSetGO registrations will not be ready to open in October.
We are expecting NetSetGO registrations to open prior to the end of 2019 and we will communicate this date once Netball Australia are satisfied the 2020 program is ready to launch.
We will communicate more information to assist in getting your 2020 season ready for registrations in the coming weeks and months.

In this document is a ‘how to’ guide on opening your registrations through MyNetball for your 2020 season.

2020 Online registration webinar
Netball Victoria will be hosting two online webinars to assist associations, leagues and clubs with the set-up and opening of their 2020 online registrations through MyNetball.

Tournament hosting and promotion
Tournaments are a great way to provide an opportunity for coaches to further develop their team in preparation for the Netball Victoria pathway competitions. Tournaments also allow coaches to increase player skills, participate in extra sessions, increase player confidence and trial different combinations on court.
Netball Victoria proudly supports our affiliates hosting association tournaments and has a dedicated page on our website where you can view a tournament calendar and see those tournaments currently open for entry.
On the upcoming tournaments page you will find a link to an online tournament form where you can request your tournament be advertised on our website and calendar.
Becoming a NetSetGO centre
If you’re not already running a NetSetGo program there are many ways it can benefit your organisation.
- The opportunity to increase membership and revenue at your club or association.
- Training opportunities for coaches and volunteers.
- Start-up equipment kit or voucher to RH Sports online store.
- The ability to develop links with local schools and community groups
- Access to coaching resources, session plans, marketing materials and coordinator manuals
- The ability to introduce participants to an established junior netball program.
- Flexibility regarding the structure and timeframes for delivery.
- Netball Victoria will assist in the administration and the promotion of your Suncorp NetSetGO program.
- A tool to recruit girls and boys, parents and volunteers.

2020 NetSetGO training
Netball Victoria is currently planning NetSetGO coach training and information sessions that will be delivered to centres in 2020.
If your NetSetGO centre is interested in a coach training or information session being held at your venue, please email netsetgo@netballvic.com.au and include the following details:
- NetSetGO centre name
- Session type (NetSetGO coach training or NetSetGO information session)
- Location of venue
- Preferred time of year
Community shade grants program - round 4 2019
The program is a competitive grants program that provides grants to community organisations for shade development in public spaces.
The program is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
The aim of the program is to reduce Victorians’ exposure to UV radiation by increasing shade in public places across the state and by promoting uptake of sun protective practices.
Who can apply?
Incorporated community organisations in Victoria may apply. Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to:
- Community groups
- Sports clubs
- Scouts and guide groups
- Local councils
- Kindergartens
- Early childhood education and care services.

Current scholarships
Jean Cowan Bequest
Jean Cowan was President of both Netball Victoria and Netball Australia, was inducted as a Netball Victoria Life Member, Legend of the Game and was also a member of the Team of the Century. Jean was also named Patron of Netball Victoria in 1988.
Jean Cowan generously bequeathed funds for an individual to enable their participation in netball within Victoria. Areas of assistance which Jean expressed include:
- To purchase uniforms;
- Pay for membership fees;
- To purchase netball equipment;
- Other similar or relevant expenses.
To apply for financial assistance supported by the Jean Cowan Bequest, please forward an Expression of Interest to the Executive Assistant to the CEO via email info@netballvic.com.au outlining the reasons for your request, your interest and involvement in netball and how the financial assistance will benefit your participation in netball.
