Netball Victoria is urging parents and guardians of budding young netballers to hurry and register them for the upcoming Netball Victoria Super Camp, which will be held at the State Netball Hockey Centre (SNHC) in October.
The two-day camp is open to participants aged 11-16 years.
Running from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day, the camp provides participants with skill and court sessions, and covers nutrition and other topics relevant to anyone looking to improve their game and knowledge.
Previous participants have enjoyed the variety of activities across the two-day camp.
“The camp was very well run and the activities were very well structured; my daughter loved every minute of the two days,” one participant’s parent said about the 2016 camp.
Another participant said they found the camp engaging.
“I’ve learned a lot over the two days. The variety of activities made it interesting and engaging.”
Melbourne Vixens goal shooter and recent 21/U World Cup participant, Emma Ryde will be a special guest at the upcoming camp, and is sure to give those attending some terrific tips to further hone their craft.
Along with the specialist skill sessions for each area of the court, the camp will include a wide range of other topics; fitness, strength and conditioning, nutrition and decision making.
The camp also includes Netball Australia’s KNEE Program, which works to reduce the risk of injury in netball.
The Super Camp is part of Netball Victoria’s Holiday Clinics, which are run in conjunction with Mother Earth Australia.
Four clinics are also scheduled for the September/October school holidays as well as the Super Camp, with clinic locations at SNHC, Epping, Ballarat and Oakleigh.
The Netball Victoria Super Camp runs from Tuesday 3 – Wednesday 4 October at the SNHC from 9:30am-4:30pm each day.
Places are limited, so don’t miss out register today.
