Wilson Storage Southern Saints have welcomed St Kilda Football Club as their official community partner ahead of the 2019 Bupa VNL season.
The announcement was made at their 2019 VNL season launch, held at St Kilda Football Club, and will be of huge benefit to both clubs and the greater south east and bayside areas.
Lisa Laing, General Manager Community at St Kilda FC presented 50 players with their St Kilda memberships on the night.
“Community engagement is a key part of our plan in Melbourne’s southern region, therefore we’re delighted to be able to partner another elite sporting club – Wilson Storage Southern Saints Netball Club”, said Laing.
“We’re excited about this partnership as we grow netball and play our role in the overall growth and development of women’s sport in the southern region of Melbourne. This is a key part of our strategic plan for elite netball.
In more great news for the club, Jon Larkin, CEO of the club’s long-time major sponsor Wilson Storage announced an extension to their agreement, aligning following the successful application for the Southern Saints’ five-year VNL licence.
St Kilda joins Hawthorn Football Club (Hawks Netball) and Melbourne Football Club (Casey Demons) in their alignment with Bupa VNL clubs.
