Umpire Mentor Workshops

After consultation with our community, we know that umpire development is a key focus for many associations and leagues. In response to this feedback and to better support our network, Netball Victoria is offering umpire mentor workshops at a discounted price ($10). This is for a limited time only so be sure to register using the links below.

We will be running two different types of workshops, Mentor and Advanced Mentoring.

Umpires in the Field: Mentor

The Mentor workshop is targeted at people who are mentoring beginner umpires. It looks at the skills and knowledge needed to guide and progress umpires through the beginning stages of their pathway. Topics covered include the mentor/mentee relationship & responsibilities, providing constructive feedback, the do’s and don’ts of mentoring and the expectations of beginner umpires.

Umpires in the Field: Advanced Mentoring

The Advanced Mentoring workshop has been developed for Umpire Mentors of C Badge accredited umpires who are working towards their B badge.  It provides umpire mentors and umpire coaches guidance, advice and tips that they can use with their umpires to advance them through their pathway.  This workshop looks at key areas of development and expectations of B badge umpires, and ways to provide effective feedback to achieve these skills with a successful mentor/mentee relationship.
