Netball Victoria is saddened to hear of the passing of Alice Doyle.
Alice was a member of the Netball Victoria Team of the Century in 2000 and inducted into the Netball Victoria Hall of Fame in 2001 as a Legend of the Game.
Alice has been a dear friend to netball, and women’s sport in Victoria. Her many achievements include being a member of the Australian netball team between 1946 and 1954, where she captained the team. As a fierce goal defence, Alice was a member of the first Victorian netball team after WW2 in 1945, where she went on to captain the sides in 1951 and 1954. Later in 1959 to 1062, Alice coached and toured with the Victorian team.
Netball Victoria would like to thank Alice for her dedication and contribution to netball in Victoria and Australia.
We extend our deepest condolences to Alice’s family and friends.
