Netball Victoria is excited to name Ella Bertacchini and Georgette Paatsch in the 21/U State Team ahead of the 21/U National Netball Championships in Launceston next week.
Bertacchini and Paatsch will complete the team of twelve, with Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens deciding to withdraw Emma Ryde and Alice Teague-Neeld from the team due to their current training load.
Netball Victoria High Performance Manager Rebekah Webster said that Bertacchini and Paatsch are looking forward to the challenge of participating at Nationals and representing Victoria.
“Both athletes have been training with the team as training partners throughout this year’s program, and have slipped seamlessly into the team,” said Ms Webster.
“The staff and all athletes involved in the 21/U State Team program have been working hard to prepare for the National Netball Championships, and circumstances such as these provide an opportunity for Netball Victoria to demonstrate the depth of talent within our underage athletes.”
