The second round of the 2017-2018 VicHealth Active Club Grants program is now open, with clubs and associations around Victoria able to apply for funding.
The first round of the 2017-2018 funding saw 14 netball clubs and associations from across the State receive funds to increase female participation and introduce more social sport.
The program focuses on two outcomes; increasing female participation and increasing participation in social and modified forms of sport with the overarching goal to get more people involved in sport.
Funding can be used to support the start-up costs of bringing new programs to the club – such as Rock Up Netball, which offers netball in a more social setting, Fast5, which is a high-intensity modified form of netball, or an All Abilities team.
Clubs can apply for grants of up to $3,000 or $10,000 to accommodate the costs associated with starting new programs.
