Following impressive results at last year’s competition in Hobart, the Victorian 19/Under and 17/Under State teams are set to jet off to Darwin next week to compete at the 2023 National Netball Championships.
It’s been ten years since Darwin last hosted the event, with 192 emerging athletes to represent their states and territories at CDU Stadium in Marrara, on Larrakia Country.
The Victorian 17/Under side will be looking to go one better than their performance in 2022, which saw them take home the silver medal in a thrilling final against New South Wales.
Our 19/Under team will also be hoping to climb further up the podium after finishing in third place in 2022, defeating Western Australia 40–34 in the bronze medal match.
The Championships can be watched live, free and on demand via Kayo Freebies. The fixtures have been released, with the Victorian teams set to begin their campaigns on Tuesday 11 April at 11:30am AEST (17/U) and 12:30pm AEST (19/U) respectively.
