Are you a badged umpire who is looking for paid umpiring opportunities? 

Register as a Community Umpire to be kept in the loop about any upcoming Netball Victoria events.

Clubs, associations and leagues are advertising coaching positions for the 2026 season.

Anyone coaching at State Titles or Association Championships must hold a Development coach accreditation. 

We're encouraging associations, leagues and clubs to host Development coach practical workshops to help ensure you are ready for these events.

Netball Victoria's Association Championships provide more than 180 Victorian associations and leagues the opportunity to compete in a crucial part of the Netball Victoria pathway, with talent ID opportunities for athletes and umpires at all tournament days across the state.
 
Netball Victoria has just announced the dates and venues for the 2026 Association Championships.
 
For umpires wishing to take part for their chance to get talent identified, they can contact your association or league representative program coordinator.
 
Please note, coaches require a minimum development coaching accreditation. 
 
Umpire and coach development opportunities in the lead up to the 2026 Association Championships can be found on the Netball Victoria events calendar.

2026 Umpire Coach - Applications now open

Become an Umpire Coach with the Talent Academy Umpire program and support talented umpires as they progress towards a higher accreditation.
Applications close Friday 24 October.

Netball Victoria has opportunities for accredited umpires to officiate at School Championships, Association Championships and other Netball Victoria supported competitions.

There has been some magnificent work that individuals, associations and leagues have done over the year, and this is the opportunity to celebrate those achievements. Don’t miss this opportunity to nominate your club, association or individual for a Netball Victoria Community Award. Nominations close Friday 5 September 2025.

Netball Australia has launched its new Intermediate Umpire Course. 
This course must be completed by any umpire being tested for their B Badge but is open for all C Badge umpires wanting to more education.

Netball Victoria is always on the look out for community coaches to deliver programs in schools and clinics. Whether you're a beginner or have been coaching for years, if you're a Foundation accredited coach, you're eligible to be a community coach. Share your love of netball with flexible work arrangements and professional development provided. 

Are you interested in umpiring at the 2025 Association Championships but have not been nominated by your local association? Complete the expression of interest form and we can put you in touch with associations looking for umpires.

April News

Over the next few weeks, you will notice some umpires wearing a green band on their wrist, indicating that they are under 18 years old.

This is part of a statewide Green Band initiative, launched in March.

Umpire testers help our umpires continue their pathway progression.

There is only one more umpire tester meeting scheduled for 2025.

Attendance is required for any new or previous testers, but anyone interested in learning more is welcome to register.

Umpires in the Field (UIF) workshops support the existing National Umpire Development Framework by delivering educational workshop across Victoria.

More UIF workshops have been added to the 2025 umpiring calendar.

Participants of the workshops gain five points towards updating umpire accreditations and receive a discount code to purchase a WorkSafe umpire shirt.
