One win clear of reigning premiers, Tasmanian Magpies, the Fury put on two dominant performances which saw every player take to the court.
Midcourter Elle McDonald was impressed with the team’s effort to not lose focus across both games.
“We do get a lot of confidence from the wins and we’ve had some really good starts, so a focus has been to continue to push regardless of the score across the entire game,” said McDonald.
“Credit to Sting, it was a high-pressure game and quite physical, but it was up to us to make sure we maintained control and set the pace to stay ahead.
McDonald said it was a full team effort with each player contributing when needing to adapt.
“As midcourters, we stuck to keeping our ball movement fast and were trying to use each other a bit more to make sure we were keeping possession and looking after the ball.
“Our defenders were relentless in their pressure so with their turnovers, we had to be switched on to help convert that gained ball to a goal.”
