Heading interstate to Queensland to take on the Territory Storm, the girls will look to re-group, hoping for a better start.
Fury attacker and daughter of Shelley O’Donnell, a past Australian great, Hannah Mundy played her first game for Fury on the weekend, returning from an injury and will also travel interstate with the team for the first time this weekend.
“I was quite nervous, but also stoked to be stepping out on court again. It felt a bit odd playing after several months off. But after the first couple of minutes into the game, I didn’t really think about my injury and just tried to play as naturally as a I could,” said Mundy.
“I’m really excited to be traveling with the girls for the first time and looking forward to the challenge away. I am ready for the weekend to come!’
The Storm and the Fury last met in round 5 of the 2018 season, which saw Fury take home two big wins, one by an impressive 20 goals and the other similar by 21.
“Preparing for the Storm this week, we have watched a bit of footage to know what we are going to face. The focus this week is to go into the weekend composed and ready to play our game…hopefully bringing home the two wins.”
The Victorian Fury will take on the Territory Storm at the University of Sunshine Coast Stadium this Saturday and Sunday.
